Deco 2D Doors

The carpenter has been around the last couple of weeks installing the architraves, skirting, ... and doors! Here's photos of the Deco 2D doors for anyone who is thinking of choosing them. They haven't been glossed over yet so hopefully they will 'pop' out more once painted.

This is the linen doors. I was originally worried the horizontal lines wouldn't line up but it looks pretty alright to me here

Here' the entry doors to the master bedroom. Horizontal lines here are ever so slightly misaligned.

The thin 720 x 2340 shared bathroom door

Sliding door to bedroom 2 ensuite. In hindsight, I'm not sure how worthwhile adding these doors to the ensuites were. Me thinks they will be hardly used and mostly left open now. Time will tell.

Here's the sliding door to the master ensuite. The issue here is.. where's my architrave to the right? I'm going to suggest to my site supervisor to install the side architrave even if it has to cover most of the sliding door when fully open.  If I had known the architraves would be like this, I would have opted for a 920mm hinged door or kept the default with no door at all.
Update: This can't be fixed. After the painting, it doesn't look so bad actually so I'm accepting it as is

The door to bedroom 2. Here, if you look closely, you will notice that the architraves is slightly slanted. There is a wider gap between the left wall and architrave on the top compared to at the bottom where it meets the skirting. Awaiting answer from the site supervisor to get this fixed.  Update: This is being fixed. The top of the door is also not aligning straight with the cornice above.

So the question at Tender was, can the garage access door be also upgraded to 2340mm. The answer from this photo is yes. It is exactly 2400mm high from bottom of the door to the wooden beam.

Update: Here's the doors after painting. Just as pictured on the Corinthian websites. Beautiful.

Interior Paint - Wattyl Winter Mushroom

Painting is complete. We've gone for the grey finish to the walls. Here's how the Winter Mushroom looks. Originally we thought of doing white for the architraves and doors but got convinced by the colour consultant to use the same paint all round. Was a bit worried at first but it has come off nicely.

Cedar Plank Palandri Carpets Laid

Carpets were laid just before Christmas except for the master bedroom which was getting its squeaks fixed .  We picked the Palandri Category 2 carpets in Cedar Plank colour. Nothing too fancy as Category 2 was the included freebie and we didn't want to pay the Porter Davis premium for upgrades. Figured when it's better to let the kids wear out this one and replace it in a few years time at a much cheaper cost per square metre. Here's a roll of carpet. The most excited I've ever been to see a roll of carpet :)

PCI Checklist

My Practical Completion Inspection is on in about 12 hours time! Here's a comprehensive checklist I've copied from the Homeone forums.
